The rubber coated straps of the Yakima Timberline Towers part # Y33TR are very durable. They will hold up to your Arizona sun and heat just fine and are covered by a lifetime warranty as well. view full answer...
I recommend you start by checking the ground wire that you've installed on the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness # C56033; often times lighting issues are commonly caused by this. You'll want to make sure that the ground of the harness is firmly attached to a paint and rust free part of the vehicle's frame. If that doesn't seem to get everything working, you'll want to use a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to see if the harness is providing power to the pin that corresponds to the brown... view full answer...
You will want to start off by checking all of your grounds and making sure that they are all securely connected to a clean surface; sometimes even some paint can cause problems like yours to occur.
The next thing you will want to look at is the connector on both your 2016 Nissan Rogue and your trailer. Make sure that they are clean and free of debris. If this is the case, then you can test the functions on the rear of your Rogue using a Circuit Tester # PTW2993 to make sure all of the... view full answer...
CVT transmissions can pose a challenge for installation of an aftermarket auxiliary transmission cooler like the Derale # D13503. It can be tough to find the external return line (from the radiator's integrated cooler) which is where a Derale unit will be installed. Some Nissan CVT transmissions are completely sealed, with no way to access the fluid at all. The other issue is that some CVT fluid is very costly and in some cases you may need to spend a substantial amount on fluid for the... view full answer...
The best way to troubleshoot your issue is to disconnect the trailer and test the 4-pole on the vehicle to ensure it is working properly independent of the trailer. You will need a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the contacts on the 4-pole one by one while a helper activates the various functions on the vehicle.
If the Rogue's wiring exhibits proper performance for all functions, then you know the issue is on the trailer side. If not, you should contact your dealership. You can still... view full answer...
When we hear about hitch hardware seeming too large to fit the weldnuts of a vehicle the problem is always that the weldnuts on the vehicle are dirty/rusty and aren't allowing the bolts to thread all the way.
This is such a common problem we made a help article and video dedicated to fixing the problem that I attached to this page. view full answer...
Yes, the RockyMounts WestSlope 2 Bike Rack # RKY10222 you referenced will work great with your kids bikes that have 20 inch wheel diameter as this rack fits wheel diameters that are between 20 and 29 inches. view full answer...
The reason you want to run the power wire all the way up to battery is so that you bypass all of the delicate wiring of your vehicle. The power wire is required on trailer wiring harnesses for some vehicles because the electrical system on those vehicles cannot handle the amperage draw associated with trailer lights.
If you ran the wire to a 12 volt accessory circuit this would defeat the purpose of that and would void the warranty of the harness plus potentially damage your vehicle wiring.

Since the circuits that are giving you problems are related to the circuits that draw the most amperage to illuminate it makes me think that your grounds aren't quite strong enough for your setup. I would verify that all of the light assemblies are connected to clean metal surfaces if they ground through their mounting hardware.
Also, make sure the main ground from the trailer 4-way is connected to a clean metal surface on your trailer frame.
I attached a couple FAQ articles that you... view full answer...
Yes you should run 90 psi in your tow dolly tires. For ST trailer tires like the ST145R12 that you have you need to make sure that you always run them at their max PSI rating to ensure you get the full weight capacity, speed rating, and prevent heat build up which leads to premature failure. view full answer...
The problem you described with your MaxxHaul 70205 12V LED Trailer Light Kit sounds like a ground issue. If the trailer connector and or the tail light grounds are not connected to a clean bare metal surface then when the headlights are turned on the extra amperage draw for the running lights will cause all sorts of lighting issues.
I would start by removing the ground wire at the trailer connector and cleaning up the connection point and re-securing it to the trailer frame. Next I would... view full answer...
I am sorry you are having trouble with your wiring of the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness, Item # 118480. At least it sounds like you can narrow down the trouble spot to your 2016 Nissan Rogue side.
I would start by making sure you have good ground connection on a clean and corrosion free metal surface. I know you have connected and reconnected the wires but check them again with a circuit tester like Item # PTW2993 and make sure you have good connections between wires with function being... view full answer...
I'm guessing it's a ground connection because it almost always is, but I'll give you some troubleshooting tips for you. Use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the 4-way on your 2016 Rogue after disconnecting it from your trailer. Check the wiring going into your harness from your taillights to see if those wires are carrying the correct signals, if not then the issue is with the vehicle wiring. If the signals going to your harness are okay, you'll need to test the signals coming... view full answer...
If you are having trouble getting the hardware to install for your Draw-Tite trailer hitch then what you need to do is soak the bolt holes with WD40, wait for a few minutes to let it set in, and then use a wire brush like part # 814113 to clean out any dirt or debris. This isn't very uncommon especially on vehicles that are a little older.
Another thing to check is to make sure that you have the correct trailer hitch for your vehicle. If you are trying to install a hitch on the 2008 Nissan... view full answer...
